Throughout our history, we’ve helped management teams with acquisition strategies. Most of our portfolio companies are involved in at least one add-on acquisition, with many fueling transformative growth and helping regional businesses become super regional or national platforms. Rotunda, along with the support of our SXO program, takes much of the burden associated with target identification, due diligence, capital arrangement and documentation, allowing the management teams to leverage our expertise to expedite timing, while minimizing disruption to the core business.

Our approach focuses on transforming family and founder owned businesses into data-driven, growth platforms. Over our history, we have worked with industrial businesses to create a replicable approach to manage the complexity of rapid growth.

 

The process starts with a multi-day strategy mapping session, involving the management team and the Rotunda execution and value creation teams, to define a company’s value proposition and what is driving its sustainable advantage. We collectively build the map with the end in mind, assessing the gaps that will drive scalability and a premium valuation. It finishes with a game plan that will identify where to invest in organizational capacity building, how to compress the business building cycle to maximize the growth phase and responsibilities, pace and prioritization for each phase of growth. The strategy map is refreshed annually to account for changing market conditions.

People
Identify talent within the current organization and assure you have the right team in the right seats, leading an engaged organization. Management works directly with Rotunda’s dedicated Human Capital Operating Vice President to assess gaps through leadership assessment tools and then we, jointly, determine how to invest in building the organization. We address succession issues through transparency and integrity. We endeavor to build the bench; not just for where it is today, but where it will be in the future. And we support growth strategies via the SXO Program.
Process
Working hand-in-hand with an Operating Partner, our goal is to implement a customized Management Operating System to improve performance, define responsibilities and align strategic goals. We work with management to improve sales and marketing, implement lean manufacturing techniques, refining sourcing and supply chains and optimize go-to-market strategies.
Data & Analytics
Rotunda’s dedicated Data and Analytics team works with the management team to develop Data and AI tools that will drive productivity and enable faster and smarter decision making. These include KPI dashboards, dynamic pricing models, k-means cluster analyses and custom-built AI tools.
IT Architecture
Rotunda’s dedicated IT operating partner works with the management team to implement scalable systems that will support a company’s competitive advantage including ERP system conversions, CRM and warehouse management system implementations and cybersecurity.
