Pinpointing where the business actually makes money
At one of our distribution companies, profitability data was scattered across financial, operational, and transactional systems.
We brought those datasets together into a single cost-to-serve view, then worked with the team to identify cases per delivery as the lever that mattered most. The sales team targeted new customers with larger drop sizes, focused on adding placements with existing customers, restricted order days on less profitable accounts, and selectively raised prices.
Cases per delivery grew 32%.
Connecting ad spend to revenue, ad by ad
At one of our home services companies, lead, appointment, and revenue data lived in separate platforms, leaving the team to manage marketing at the channel level.
We pulled those sources into a single warehouse and mapped spend to revenue at the individual campaign level, with a daily report covering the full funnel from leads to bookings to revenue.
With that visibility, the team cut unprofitable digital ads immediately and reduced total ad spend by 38% the next month.
Targeted price moves, scientifically measured
At one of our distribution companies, a deep product catalog and a diverse customer base across multiple end markets made broad price changes hard to justify.
We segmented customers and designed pricing actions targeted at the accounts and SKUs where they would stick, while maintaining flexibility for sales reps.
We rolled the new pricing out using a treatment and control group to isolate the effect, which showed a 5% lift in gross profit over the 12-week measurement period.
Surfacing the RFPs worth bidding on with AI
At one of our portfolio companies, the team received over 50,000 RFPs a year, but fewer than 2% were a real fit. Triaging by hand often pushed them past submission deadlines, and only a third of the relevant opportunities ever got bid on.
We worked with the team to identify the bottleneck and build an AI tool that flags relevant RFPs in real time and loads them directly into the CRM.
In the first quarter after launch, the company pursued as many qualified opportunities as it had in the entire prior year.
